Today was a fun day. Tomorrow my schedule is PACKED. OMG.
I had a blast at my community service project today: painting classrooms in a church basement. After inhaling LORD knows how many noxious fumes of primer, I and my peer group emerged into pouring rain (of course I still have no umbrella)... Why is the rain so irksome to me? My dorm is Witmer, which is on the OTHER SIDE of campus, AWAY from the class buildings, and the CAFETERIA! I have to wake an extra 30min early to get to eat breakfast AND get to my classes on time. I most likely will NOT be coming back and forth to my dorm when classes start--I will stay where the buildings are and then go back to my room @ night, probably after dinner.
After the community project, the bus driver dropped the group on one side of campus and I had to walk about 2 miles back to my dorm. In the sheets of rain. With no umbrella or hoodie or ANYTHING! But my hair still looks fierce! When I got to my dorm room I took a shower and put on lotion, readying to do some pilates when my RA comes to my door and screams MUDSLIDING!!!!!!!!! I am totally discombobulated, but I change into a T-shirt and shorts and run out with the rest of Witmer 2A Ladies to Cemetery Hill. In the pouring rain, on the other side of campus. (I double wrapped my hair) SInce Cemetery Hill didnt have enough mud (but a really really wet, STEEP hill, however...I slid down it so i know!), we went to the Breeches Creek, which is more like a river, and we slid INTO it! It was SO MUCH FUN... About 150 other students were with us--so awesome! I cut my hands and legs up sliging on sharp grass and rocks into a currented river, though! When it was all done, all of us ladies looked like we had just played the NFL playoffs in the rain and mud.
So I took another shower, and readied for the campus block party. My roomie hit her knee (dislocation?) as she was changing, and the nurse had to come up--she now has crutches! The block party was AMAZZIINGG. I met sooo many people who are hippies like me (almost EVERYONE!), I met some professors, visited all of the hot spots on campus (Issachar's Loft, Rafiki House, Student Union, etc.), and just chilled with some friends I've made while here!
Speaking of friends, let's talk about men. I am not oblivious to my raging hormones as I am onthis campus. My,my, MYYYY...these men are GORGEOUS! I saw the whole swim team (speedos and ABS!!!!), some wrestlers (bicePTS!), and a lifeguard (I'll be drowning soo, just watch) who were just muy delicioso! Si! Si!
I'm tired.
