:)

So yesterday I didn't have as much time to sulk and feel sorry for myself as I had intended to do. I had always thought of the moment I would spend saying goodbye to my parents as some DEEP, emotional event, drenched with tears I would remember forever. However, that's not the way it happened...not even close.

As soon as I said goodbye, I was immediately rushed down the hallway to ANOTHER auditorium to meet my peergroup. As I walked towards it, I saw other parents balling their eyes out (yes, fathers too!) and holdint their "babies" who were leaving them. A few people had flew in from Africa, leaving their family behind, a few had flewn in from further cities around the US. I think I had done all of my crying already, so I needed no more tears. My peergroup was number 33, and one of my friends from FB was in it! I was stoked when I saw her name. The group leaders of our peer were SUPER friendly. When each member of our group arrived we went to another dorm and pigged out on popcorn, starburst, cookies, and skittles. (Fully aware of the plot to have me gain the FRESHMAN15, I remained modest in my eating decisions. I decided to take the skittles and starburst back to my dorm for further research on this plot.) We played a couple of games to have us get to know each other, and then it was off to our floor meetings in our respective dorms.

My floor meeting began at 10pm (LORD!), with my RA, Hannah. She is super nice, a great leader, and she loves to cook. All of us girls had a great time introducing ourselves and sharing quirky facts... It was a nice way to commemorate living in my dorm for the first night.

My roommate and I pretty much hit it off when we met in person. We have ALOT in common, and we will balance each other out nicely. More about her later, I have to go shower and ready for today!

845am- Language Placement Test
10am- Tennis Practice (??)
12n- Lunch w/ peer group
1215- Leave for our community project: painting an elementary school's classrooms in Harrisburg.

Thanks for the prayers! :)
