Haiti EVENT=

Ok, so the Haiti benefit that I co-coordniated...WAS A TOTAL SUCCESS!!

Omg, the Broadstreet Market (similar to Baltimore's Cross Street Market, where the event was held) was a great place for the event! The manager and we three girls worked well together to make it all happen!

There were international food vendors open, the Ngozi drummers came and played with some Messiah students, a musician and close friend of mine named Marc Seeley (check him out on you tube!) came and performed for the benefit (he has an album, but performed for free since it was for Haiti), community leaders and officials came, CHANNEL 20 WAS THERE (and apparently, the first half of the event is going to be aired for the next 30 days! OMG!). At the last minute I was able to get a girl from my dorm who is UBER talented to sing. She blew everyone away.

Community partners came to show support, people GENEROUSLY donated money and supplies, the market boardmembers came, MY MOMMY CAME. Everyone had fun and asked when we would organize something again with Harrisburg. Soon.....

I was so happy to see so many different people together with a common goal to support Haiti! The Ngozi drummers asked to join Marc on his guitar and play... It was a beautiful thing to see them jam! The drum leader said that it was the first time they had EVER done anything like that (collab with a different genre musician) I got to join too...so fun! Check it out!

A Harrisburg website for tourists named the event as one of the top "Things to Do" for the day!!!

Put it in google: broadstreetmarket haiti benefit:

Je suis tres contente! Merci beaucoup for the prayers and the encouragement. God is SOO AWESOME! The day was stressful, but all was well and we came out 100% having brought the communities of Messiah and Harrisburg together to support Haiti!
